Entrepreneur's Benefits. Written By Philip Obin
As an employee, your salary is fixed, in most cases. While it may help you plan your life and spending, you are limited by finances, and inflation can easily shatter your plans.
You are also unable to render reasonable financial support to loved ones without adequate prior plans, and you’ll also struggle to embark on capital projects. You’ll always know how much to expect at the end of every month, which is unexciting
But as an entrepreneur, the story isn’t same. I remember one January, I was so broke to the point that I had to borrow N100 to pay church offering, but by 22 of the next month - February (my birthday), I got myself a car gift. That's the life of an Entrepreneur - always filled with suspense and excitement!
Salary is like monthly cycle. Comes once in a month and disappears after a few days. If you miss it, you are worried…

Little knowledge from Prof. Yucee Landa Henry
Try to live to plant an investment for the upcoming generation before You leave. If You leave with out leaving investment for them, You have sowed the seed of unrest and discomfort for them.
Try to be a source of joy to people.
Any good You do today leaves a footprint for tomorrow. Keep doing.

HUMAN BEINGS WITH TROUBLED MINDS. By George Nsikak.
Beings with troubled minds are one of the effects of modern civilization. The strains and straits which it asserts on the mind of man.
There is a case of John Ruskin, an Oxford Professor. He was battling some imaginary devil. One night, Ruskin thought the devil was going to seize him. He was found later in the morning in a state of prostration and completely bereft of his senses. The Professor's mind was tragically disturbed.
SELF MADE MEN OF GREATNESS (1). By George Nsikak
Alexander pope lived from 1688 to 1744. He did for poetry what Shakespeare did for drama. He is ranked among highest of poets. He attended school for only four years at the age of eight. After which he went to live with his father at Windsor forest. He learned under a tutor for four months and this was the only teaching he ever had. He taught himself Latin and Greek and read many poetries. Pope began to write poetry and at 25 he gained widespread recognition.

MGIC POT (PART 2) By George Nsikak
Ola swam and swam, he never stopped to look
back. Segun was a better swimmer and Ola
thought he was behind him.
Ola was a stone
throw away from the beach. His arms were weak.
He was tired. He had been swimming for a long
time. A travelling speedboat met him as he was
struggling with the water currents. They slowed
down. Two owners of the speedboat dived to
rescue him. He was breathing in an almost
suffocating manner. He was taken to the beach
where he regained consciousness and explained
his ordeal.
A third part of the fishermen paddled their
canoes in search of Segun. They searched and
searched, some dived into the lagoon expecting
to see his dead body but he was nowhere to be
found.
By the tide of the evening they all gave up.
Ola was sad. Bisi wept for her husband. She wept
on the beach till nightfall. They were poor. They
had no farmland and much worse their canoe
mishapped.
As days passed they gave up hopes of seeing
Segun again. Ola never relented in consoling her
mother. He was now the man of the family. The
responsibility of taking care of his mother is left
to him alone.
Bisi and Ola had one goat in their goat stand. Bisi
intended to sell the goat and begin a business.
This goat is thin and will worth four pounds she
thought. The next day, Ola tied the goat and took
her to the market. Nobody wished to buy the
goat. It wasn't healthy enough for an occassion
and goat herders thought it may die a day after.
On his way back from the market. A wealthy
merchant found interest in the goat.
"but you will have it exchanged for a very big pot"
he said to Ola.

Hatred!, A Waste Of Time. Written By Prof. Yucee Landa Henry
The People interviewing Me were really those haters who wanted for My reaction but didn't get. And they impatiently rushed to know how I feel. And that same day, they casted away hatred.
"honestly, but they may have Me". Another said. "why will they have You and You don't have them"? I replied." They have a lot to learn from Me, but I have already learnt about them. They posses the same characteristics and there is nothing new in them except hate. Unless they change to hate hating Me ".

NIGERIA'S CURRENCY CRISIS. CAN YOU SPARE A DOLLAR?
How to make a hard-currency shortage worse - The Economist.
THE mutterings of discontent are growing louder in Nigeria’s street markets.
The price of a bag of rice has surged by 12.5% in the past month.
Supplies of bread have dwindled after bakers turned off their ovens to protest about the rising cost of flour.
The rich lament that milk is missing from supermarket shelves.
The poor complain about the price of garri (cassava flour). A fish importer estimates that 70m Nigerians can no longer afford his wares.
Such are the symptoms of Nigeria’s foreign-exchange crisis. Africa’s most populous nation exports oil and imports nearly everything else.
As oil prices have collapsed, Nigeria’s foreign earnings have tumbled with them, putting huge pressure on the naira, the local currency.
Yet President Muhammadu Buhari refuses to allow the naira to devalue, fretting that this would fuel inflation.
Economists point out that a weaker currency would simply reflect that Nigeria is poorer now than it was when oil was above $100 a barrel. He ignores them.
Since Mr Buhari came to power in May, the central bank has kept the official exchange rate artificially strong and restricted the supply of dollars.
It refuses to release any for imports of a range of goods including meat, margarine and toothpicks.
The policy is not working: inflation hit 11.4% in February and growth has fallen to 2.1%.
Factories are closing down for lack of supplies and the managers of those still running spend much of their time trying to find things to sell abroad to raise dollars, such as gold jewellery or gum arabic.
Most have been pushed into the black market, where they pay about 60% above the official rate unless they are lucky enough to get some of the $200m or so released each week by the central bank.
That the bank has the power to hand out subsidised greenbacks naturally invites corruption.
An executive at a big importer says its budgets now include a 30% “premium” to be paid to central bank officials to get dollars.
Yet Mr Buhari seems unlikely to change his mind.
So senior members of his party are now pushing for some form of dual exchange rate.
This would leave the naira’s official value unchanged, satisfying the president, while legitimising a parallel market that would supposedly be used for non-essential imports.
In practice most currency flows would soon be made at this new market rate.
This solution is far from optimal—the central bank window would be a continued source of corruption and patronage—but better than the status quo.
Without some flexibility on the currency, expect food shortages to worsen.

Poem by George Nsikak
Why the clubs?
Why the swords?
Why the guns?
Why the bombs
Why the gases?
We are humans
Religion has divided us
Politics; separated us
Boundaries; confused us
Wealth; classified us
Race; undermines us
We are humans
What do you think we are?
Animals
A better word
Maybe human
From one ancestor
Through a process
Called evolution
We are humans
Differentiated by tongues
Separated by oceans
Segregated by continents
Foolished by race
Most importantly
We are humans
Will it profit you?
To kill your brother
Enslave your fellow
Undermine opposite gender
Cause war and chaos
If you do so
You are worst
Than dark ages
You've just forgotten
That we're humans
Drop your clubs
Drop your swords
Drop your spear
Bow and arrows
Destroy your guns
Bombs and gases
For
If you kill
You will die
Decide not to kill
You'll surely die
When you've drop
your weapons
Even your
Religious weapons
Then we'll be happy
Because we...
Because
We
Are
All
humans.

Poem by George Nsikak
My brothers
Sold me to them
I was taken in shakles
A chain to my neck
My hands to my back
I was whipped
When I walked slow
Scourged
When I'm too fast
Was taken to a place
Where other blacks stayed
Their face were death
And their body; torture
They kicked me
I tripped and fell
They spat at me
And called me an ape
Right there, a black cursed them
He cried
Threatened they'd kill him
One of them
Brought a pistol
They gave him a chance
To choose whom he'd die with
He walked up to me
I was soaked in sweat
My legs trembled
He turned to my partner
And took with him
Both were taken out
Tears flooded my eyes
As I heard the gunshots
The next day arrived
We were at the coast
We were put in ships
and were packed like sardines
For two days
We sailed
Many of my fellows died
Their bodies stinked
As the ship became heavy
Most of us were thrown out
I wept for them
Whom sharks will devour
On a sunny morning
We arrived
A large snowy land
Later in the day
We're taken to corn fields
We're forced to work
As the chains
Left my hands
I tried to run
To escape I mean
I heard a shot
It landed on my head
As I fell
That was the end
Of my slave experience
By George Nsikak
Message from a dead African slave
George Nsikak
I've got a day to live
More than a thousand years
I've got a day to live
Before I'd sleep away
I'm a big bag
Full of sand, bones and fibre
I'm on an errand
I'd go very soon.
I've got a day to live
I'll do my best
When it rains
I'd find a shade
When sun shines
I'd run and hide
Life is tears
A pleasure of torment
I'd do my best
And leave the rest for you
I've got a day to live
A mayfly indeed
Life; full of weeds
Thistles and thorns
I'd live only a day
Just like a thousand years
I've got a day to live
Before they come calling
Never do cry
I'll say goodbye
My time is short
I'll soon be gone
And when I'm gone
I'll live a thousand years
All in a day
By George Nsikak
A long time ago when the whites have not yet
arrived Nigeria. Men still displayed the art of
magic and worshipped myths and legends. There
lived a very poor family, somewhere in western
Nigeria. They were Segun and Bisi, they had a
child named Ola.
Segun and Bisi were both worshippers of Ogun,
the yoruba god of war and iron. Segun got
married to Bisi who herself came from a poor
home. Segun was a lagoon fisherman. After
fishing, he would sell his fish and send some
home. Bisi would prepare the fishermen's soup
that was made mostly of fish.
Ola never went to school, his father could not
afford. He joined his father on the beach and they
made some pretty catch with their old small boat.
Segun had acquired the boat when he sold his
only plot of land. It was the only plot of land his
father had left for him. He was younger when he
bought it. It now looked old and dirty. It had little
patches where water sometimes rushed in. Ola
usually fetched out the water with a calabash.
While fishing one night, their net caught
something big, it was a very big fish. They tried
dragging it but it inturned dragged their boat to
the waves. The fish led their boat and it struck a
rock. It tore into two and they both sinked. Segun
was caught by his own net. He struggled to break
free but to no avail. The fish still dragged him
into the strong water currents until he gave up his
breath and died.
